DCI designed and installed the refrigeration & HVAC systems for a new Micounties Cooperative store within The Bletchingdon Estate Development, Oxfordsdhire.

Traditional architecture meets 21st century building services

One of DCI’s grocery retail clients, The Midcounties Co-operative, has invested in developing a new store within The Bletchingdon Estate Development in Oxfordshire.

Situated in the Duchy of Cornwall’s Eastern District the new store has been created to fit the Duchy of Cornwall estate’s ethos and outlook on the built environment. It combines traditional architectural styling and high quality construction with energy saving technologies from DCI such as energy-efficient refrigeration, air conditioning and ventilation. Local residents visit the store for a wide range of grocery essentials for breakfast, lunch and dinner – including the popular COOK frozen ready meal range – as well as a food-to-go offering. Customers can also buy National Lottery tickets and use the free ATM.

DCI’s work on the project included the design and installation of the new store’s refrigeration and HVAC systems – ensuring the perfect balance of performance and energy efficiency.
